Our farther reaching goals include creating FarmShares that serve as a holistic healing, creative arts, and learning research facilities. These facilities will create community gardens, health care and rejuvenation facilities, educational programs, and research gardens/animal facilities that will be available to all; especially families experiencing food insecurity.
Scope of FarmShares:
- Community shared farms
- Similar to Community Shared Agriculture (CSA)
- Holistic healing creative arts and learning sanctuaries
- A safe place for us all
- Land preserves ( preserving land and creating regenerative shared farms
- Connecting communities to their food
- Hands on experience- it makes us all healthier. Farmers and their kids shouldnt be the healthiest people. We all should be healthy.
- A place for our youth to have something more to look forward to being a part of.
- Summer youth camps
- Body fitness camps
- Health workshops
- Classes of all sorts- cooking, sewing, wool spinning, arts of all sorts, gardening, composting
What if we grow the extra food the community needs to feed its food insecure. WE could do this in every state and town at all of our shared farms and no one would ever have to go without again.
Currently we are working on developing our first farm sharing model in Winters, CA.
We need all the help that we can possibly get. We will be planting a pumpkin patch for the community next week and will have safe social distancing measures set in place. We have 20 acres so there is plenty of space for families to come picnic and enjoy a beautiful day in the pumpkin patch with their loved ones. The more help that we get the more that we can grow and the less that the food insecure of our community have to go without. Together we can make things better.
